There’s no shortage of media about the Adnan Syed case, and here is how we’ve organized it:
The News Coverage page is dedicated to stories about the Syed case, from original reports about Hae Min Lee’s murder in 1999 to the most recent developments in the appeals courts.
Most persons come to the case via the Serial Podcast, and we have dedicated a page to that podcast, including transcripts, podcasts about the podcast, and articles responding to the podcast and its unique storytelling style.
Season 1 of the Undisclosed Podcast explored the Syed case with more depth and passion. We have a page that indexes season 1 episodes, a page that links the documents discussed in each episode, and an index of the hosts’ blogs, which inspired a lot of the podcast content.
We recently added a new page about the four-part HBO documentary The Case Against Adnan Syed.
Another page is dedicated to all the other media about the case, including books, single episodes of podcasts and true crime TV shows, and YouTube recordings of the many live talks affiliated people have given about the case.
Finally, the Further Reading page is a catchall reflecting a lot of research done by interested podcast listeners about topics covered on Serial or Undisclosed, including alternate suspects in the Hae Min Lee murder, Baltimore and crime, cell phone technology, lividity, false confessions, and Adnan’s lawyer Cristina Gutierrez. Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole!
